Obituary of Janet Louise Dull

Janet Louise Dull, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home to the Lord on December 1st, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 20th, 1946, in the town of Alma, Michigan; Janet was the beloved daughter of the late Francis M. Hovey and Anna M. Hovey (Billiau), and the adored sister to Judy L. Baringer and the late Thomas D. Hovey.

Janet grew up in Midland, Michigan, graduating from Midland High School and marrying the late M. Dean Dull in 1965. Her life was a testament to her strength and determination, as she lovingly raised her four children—Brent (Laura), Jason (Ann), Sean, and Brooke (Shawn)—on her own. She was a pillar of support, not only to her children but also to her parents, whom she cared for until they passed. Her nurturing heart extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she delighted in the joys of being a grandmother to Riley, Chelsea, Bailey, Ashlea, Zoe, Brandon, McLean, Avery, Gavin, and Grace, and a great-grandmother to Hudson, Harlow, Della, and Holland. Janet always said, if she could have been a grandmother first, she would have.

In her life's journey, Janet encountered challenges with grace and determination often relying on her perseverance, witty personality, and cleverness to overcome. As a follower of Christ, she found solace and strength in her beliefs, often turning to spiritual books for comfort and inspiration. Her love for music and movies filled her home with warmth and laughter, while her passion for crafts showcased her creative nature.

Janet's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends through the beautiful memories she has left behind. Her life was a reflection of her values, strength, and love for family. In her remembrance, a small, family Celebration of Life will be held; those wishing to pay their respects can make a charitable donation in her honor to the Open Door or Humane Society of Midland County.
