Andrea (Andy) Lee Freel, of Williamston, MI (Formerly of Owosso and Tawas City) age 82 died peacefully, surrounded by her children, at Divine Nest Living Center of Williamston, Michigan.
Andy was born February 4, 1943 in Bay City, MI to the late Albert Duquette and Therma (Plummer) Duquette. Andy was a beloved mom, grandma, aunt, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, feeding the birds, and tending to outdoor plants and flowers. She was always willing to help others in any way she could. Andy stayed busy throughout her life and didn't know how to slow down until her body told her it was time.
Andy held many jobs throughout her lifetime. She sold Avon, worked as the Village Clerk of Vernon, and worked in upholstery as a cutter and a sewer at CHW and Woodard’s. She was also a bartender and a cook. When not working, she generously volunteered her time as a Sunday School teacher, Girl Scout leader and a 4-H leader.
Andy is survived by her children: Lynn (Troy Sage) Freel, Harold (Jenn) Freel, and Julia (Ken) Keyes. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Rowan, Andrew, Evan, Amelia and Vance. In addition, Andy is survived by her brother, Robert (Mary) Duquette and several nieces and nephews.
As per Andy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private service has been held.
