Obituary of John Joseph Desonia

 JOHN JOSEPH DESONIA, age 84, passed away on December 17, 2025.  John was born on January 28, 1941 in Saginaw to parents Charles and Blanche (Thomas) Desonia.  He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1960 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  John worked at Saginaw Steering Gear and retired out of the Quality Assurance Department in 1994.

John's interests included:  Snowmobiling (original member of the St. Charles Snowmobile Club), Bowling, a NASCAR fan for many years, Fishing and Camping at Old Orchard Park on the Au Sable River, Golfing, Traveling to many U.S. States (his favorite was Hawaii), a special 25-year anniversary trip with Marcy to Italy, and wintering in Arizona for 25 years.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marcy (Unger); Son, Joseph (Elizabeth) Desonia; granddaughters, Carmen (Noah) Fuller and Paige Desonia; sister, Dorothy Siazik; brother, Charles Desonia (Cindy Sinicki); sister-in-law, Darlene Faust; and several nieces and nephews.  John was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Margaret Unger; brothers-in-law, Ron Siazik, Rodney Unger, and Edwin Faust.
