Obituary of Betty Louise Foland

Betty L. Foland, age 89, of Hope, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2025. 

Betty was born on July 15, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the only child of Frank and Anna Youmans. Betty graduated from Midland High School and soon after married Jack Bailey. She worked for Frolic Sweet Shop, the Kresge Store, and eventually American Motors Crystler in Evart, Michigan. Betty had six children whom she cherished. After parting from her first husband, Betty met Max Foland and was married in 1976. Max had three boys whom Betty loved as her own. Betty and Max had a long and happy marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband and four of her children. Betty enjoyed going to Mills Senior Center and Hope Methodist Church. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone who knew her and despite many life challenges always remained upbeat.

 A memorial service for Betty will be held at 11am, January 10, 2026, at Hope Methodist Church, 5278 N.
