Obituary of Thomas William Sanders

Thomas (Tom) William Sanders passed away peacefully on December 24,2025 at 73 yrs old.  He was born on February 15, 1952 to RV and Dorthy (Pascoe) Sanders in Alma, MI. 

Tom graduated from Breckenridge JR/ SR High School in 1970. 

He attended Northern Michigan University and then transferred to Central Michigan University.  Upon leaving Central in 1974, he went on to Wayne State University to pursue his Mortuary Science degree and graduated in 1975. Tom moved to Lansing, Mi. and worked for Estes-Leadley Funeral Home for years.  Upon leaving the funeral home, he started his own business, Great Lakes Phlebotomy.  He retired and moved to Alma to be closer to his family.  

Tom was a devout Catholic, at one point, talked of becoming a Priest. Tom traveled all over Europe throughout the years and he always brought home souvenirs and chocolates for family.  

Tom was preceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.  Sisters,  Sharon Lynn,  Lynn Ann, Sandra Kaye and Dorthy Mae (Dort). Brother, Randy James and brother in-law Roy Martinez.  

Tom leaves behind his sisters,  Renee Jill and Tammy Jean, so many nieces and nephews to name, all special in their own way. Great and great-great-nieces and nephews also. As well as, a niece in-law who cared for him deeply.
