Obituary of Bonnie Kay Pegley
Pegley, Bonnie Kay (Weideman)
Birch Run, MI
Bonnie Pegley passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 27, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on August 22, 1956, in Saginaw, MI, Bonnie's life was characterized by her unwavering generosity, selflessness, and thoughtfulness. These qualities shone brightly through her every action and touched the lives of everyone she met.
Bonnie graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1974. She served a lengthy career with the United States Postal Service, retiring after 25 years of service. Her dedication to the USPS was evident, and she made many lasting friendships throughout her years of service.
Family was the cornerstone of Bonnie's world. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Cris Pegley; children, Dan (Valorie) Cook; stepson, Michael (Jackelyn) Pegley; grandchildren, Bradley Cook, Douglas (Alyssa) Baker, Amber (Austin) Knotts, Justin Pegley, and Jacob Pegley; and great- grandchildren, Benjamin Baker and Colton Knotts. She also leaves behind a legacy of love with her siblings, Tom (Ann) Weideman, Sally Landeryou, Mary (Dave) Morin, and Barb (Don) Konuszewski, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins who all held a place in her heart. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Rubin and Margaret Weideman, as well as her brothers, Bill Weideman and infant Benny.
Bonnie's interests were as varied as they were vibrant. She relished the excitement of casino trips and the thrill of shouting "Bingo!", as well as spending time in northern Michigan with a close-knit group of friends. A lover of shopping, she found joy in hunting for something colorful for herself, or the perfect gift for someone else. Her creativity and thoughtful spirit found expression in making custom, colorful treasures—tangible reflections of the care and love she so freely gave. Bonnie's tender heart extended to all creatures, especially her beloved "grand-dogger" Bella, with whom she shared countless snuggles.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Bonnie will remember her as the embodiment of kindness. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her presence was a source of comfort and support, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed by her generous spirit.
As we say goodbye to Bonnie, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Her legacy of care and compassion remains a guiding light for her family and friends. Bonnie's story is one that will be told with smiles and fondness for generations to come. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
