Obituary of Sandra Lee Volz

Sandra “Sandy” Wack Volz, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 78.

Sandy was born on March 21, 1947, in Bay City, Michigan. She lived her life with a deep sense of generosity and compassion, always caring for those around her—both people and animals alike. Sandy had a special love for genealogy, taking pride in learning and preserving her family’s history for future generations.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. Sandy is survived by her beloved daughter, Cheri (Jason), and her cherished grandchildren, Dakota and Cheyenne, who were the light of her life. Sandy also shared an unbreakable bond with her loyal dog, Daisy, who was always by her side and brought her great comfort.

She is reunited in peace with her parents, Leander and Elsie Smith, and her beloved dog, Daisy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri City Undercover Angels Animal Rescue in Sandy’s memory, honoring her lifelong love and compassion for animals.
