Linda Willson

Obituary of Linda Jo Willson

Linda Jo Willson, a beacon of light and laughter, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on August 4, 1951, in Saginaw, MI, Linda brought joy and kindness to all who knew her. Her final days were spent in Midland, MI, surrounded by the family she cherished deeply.  Linda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her commitment to her family.

Married to her husband of 49 years, Wayne Willson, Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children, Dawn Sweebe and husband Jeff, Carrie Ventrone, and Wade Willson with his wife Luana, were her pride and joy. She was a nurturing presence in the lives of her grandchildren, Travis (Shirley), Dallan (Kassidi), Braylon, Sawyer (Kayla), Jalen (Justin), Carly (Mason), Izak (Kaylee), Kyrie, Lucas, and her great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Liam, Avery, Emmett, Karmella, and the soon-to-be-born Kalani Lee, as well as Peyton and Jameson. Linda's brother, Mark Walkowski, and his wife, Allison, as well as her daughter-in-law, Cammy Fisher, shared in the family's closeness. Though her son James Jennell and grandson Noah Jennell preceded her in death, she held them close to her heart always.

Linda's legacy is one of selflessness and service, traits she exemplified throughout her life. A graduate of Saginaw High School, she went on to retire from Sunoco as a manager and later from Target as a team lead. Her work ethic, coupled with her desire to make a difference, was evident to all who worked alongside her.  A devout Christian, Linda lived her faith through her actions and her boundless love. She was a woman who found the greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life—being with her family. Whether it was fishing, camping, or scrapbooking, she immersed herself in activities that brought her closer to her loved ones. Her competitive spirit shone through during family card game nights and cookouts, and she was a regular fixture at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and school functions. Linda's love for travel and online gaming with family members allowed her to create memories that will be cherished forever.

Linda's early years were marked by her caring nature, working at an old folks' home because she loved helping others. Her high school years were filled with thespian endeavors, participating in school plays, which showcased her wit and humor. Her quick, witty sense of humor and love of igniting sibling rivalry were parts of what made Linda so unique and adored.  Those who knew Linda best would describe her as funny, selfless, and kind. She had a heart that never seemed to run out of room for others, and her ability to uplift those around her was unparalleled. Linda's life was a reflection of her love for others—a life well-lived, full of grace and generosity. She became a mother and grandmother to many friends and neighbors, embracing them with the same warmth, wisdom, and tenderness she gave to her own.  As we bid farewell to Linda Jo Willson, we celebrate a life that was rich in love and laughter. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and the countless lives she touched. Linda's journey on earth may have ended, but her story will be told for generations to come, as an example of a life truly well-lived.
