Obituary of Gerald Frederick Williams
Williams, Gerald F known better as “Jerry”, Birch Run, MI formerly of Flint, MI passed into heaven on January 8, 2026 at the age of 71. Born December 4,1954 to Chester and Mavis (Bradley) Williams, his early life was spent running the roads of the “Berry Patch” growing up on Berrywood Lane. Jerry spent his work life doing a little of everything from vending machine repair, HVAC Tech, and finishing his career as a machine tool electrician. Although, his favorite job was taking care of his granddaughter Paige as her personal “Manny.” Jerry was an avid helper to anyone and everyone that needed it. Spending many days and nights fixing cars, running electrical wiring, and repairing furnaces for his family, friends, and acquaintances. When he wasn’t helping others he enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing across Michigan with his friends, usually ending up in Trout Lake. Jerry was also known for his incredible cooking skills, always preparing the holiday ham for family celebrations. He loved his family and friends more than anything else and spent most days chatting with them, his humor was never-ending, and he never missed the opportunity to share a laugh.
Jerry is survived by his better half of over 50 years Marietta “Mary” (Hastedt) Williams and their children John (Cyndi) Williams and Jennifer (Gene) Richards. Grandchildren Paige Steele (Anthony Warner), Jordyn Richards, James Richards (Ashley Beagle), Jordan Williams, and Gage McQuiston. His Siblings Dan (Terry) Williams, Brenda Gensheimer, and John (Virgie) Williams. Niece Kristin (Michael) McLain, Nephews Erik (Cole), Danny, Rocky (Angie). His uncle Jerry Bradley and many cousins, including special cousin Karen (Kenny) Haake. His lifetime best friends Louie Gutierrez, Lonnie Vanover, and Todd Corrin. Together we will all miss his stellar personality, life advice, and his protective spirit.
