Obituary of Betty Jane Grim
Betty Grim
June 10, 1954 – February 7, 2026
Betty Grim, age 71, passed away on February 7, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and the kind of warmth that made people feel at home just by being near her. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Grim; her children William Unkefer, Becky (Adam) Manika; and her cherished grandchildren, AJ and Everett Manika, who brought her endless pride and joy.
She is also survived by her siblings, Ramona (George) Barnum, Pat Kolodziejczak, Mike (Cherie) Kolodziejczak, and Chuck (Donna) Kolodziejczak, along with many extended family members and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Dorothy Kolodziejczak; her siblings, Tony (Sharon) Kolodziejczak and Tom (Jean) Kolodziejczak; and her nephews, Jesse Robinson and Jimmy Robinson.
Betty enjoyed the simple things that made life feel special—watching old black-and-white movies, listening to music videos on YouTube, and spending time talking with the people she loved. She also enjoyed keeping up with family and friends online and loved watching the newest family members grow up through Facebook.
Betty started working at 14 and enjoyed many jobs throughout her life, but she spoke most fondly of her years at Spadafore Bowling Alley and of her own folk shop, called the “Witle Folk Shop”. Her family meant everything to her, and her love will live on through them.
In accordance with her wishes, Betty will be cremated. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Betty’s memory will be cherished always.
