Obituary of Benjamin Martinez

Benjamin Martinez, age 61, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on February 9, 2026.

Benjamin was born on August 20, 1964 to Augie and Jean Martinez, who survive him. He grew up with a strong sense of family, which he carried throughout his life. He attended Arthur Hill High School class of 1982 and enjoyed a thrilling career with GKC Theaters before returning to Davenport University for his Bachelors Degree and Central Michigan University for his Masters Degree. He finished his career with Consumers Energy. He enjoyed going to the movies, watching the Detroit Lions and Michigan Football, crafting and spending time with family. 

Benjamin was a devoted son, father, papa, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Benjamin (Allie) Martinez, Michael (Hope) Martinez, Matthew (Avery) Martinez, and daughter, Krysti (Jamie) Walter. Benjamin's grandchildren were his absolute pride and joy, and he leaves behind 3 grandsons, Korbin, Judah and Felix. His siblings, Augie Jr. (Lucy) Martinez, Luis (Tasha) Jimenez, Ticia (Dave) Garchow, Al Martinez, Danny (Alicia) Martinez and Denise (Michael) Cummings, also survive him, along with many special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and his Mother-in-law, Erlene Kimber. Benjamin is preceded in death by a brother, John Martinez and his grandson, Kade Martinez.
