Annetta Geise

Obituary of Annetta Bernice Geise

Annetta Bernice Geise, "Auntie," of Standish, Michigan, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Tracie (John), surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 17, 1944, in New Boston, OH, to the late Leota LaFountain and Ralph Clark, she lived a life defined by her devotion to her family and her vibrant spirit. Whether she was cheering on her favorite drivers during a NASCAR race, hunting, fishing, or settling in for a favorite movie, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a special affinity for elephants, admiring their strength and grace— a reflection of the steady, loving presence she was for her own "herd," her loving family.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride: Elwood (Amy) Geise and their son, Derek; Joseph (Robin) Geise and their children, Cody, Logan, and Lynzy; Tracie (John) Napora and her daughter, Alyssa (Tyler) Derikx; and Jennifer Hogan and her children, Erica (Jonathan, with a great-grandbaby on the way) Bladecki and Jonathan Brent. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Morris, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ernest Geise, her brother, Bill Clark, and her sister, Gloria Riley. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  To sign the online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
