Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Marcum

Elizabeth Ann Marcum, affectionately known as Liz by her friends and family, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2026, in Michigan. Born on March 18, 1955, in the beautiful state of West Virginia, Liz was a spirited and joyful presence who brought laughter and warmth to everyone she encountered.

Liz is survived by her son, John (Tiffany) Marcum, and her daughter, Kelly (Don) Waun. She was the loving grandmother of Taylor (Kevin) Neumann, Abby (Matt) Mahaffey, and Isaiah Marcum. Her spirit will live on through her great-grandchildren, Blake, Elle, and Loretta Neumann, Benson Duvall, and Lettie Tucker.

Liz was the cherished sister of Dyght (Shirley) Smith, Robert (Ruby) Smith, George Smith, Kenneth (Marie) Smith, and Ernest Smith. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Sylvia Smith and Marie Perry; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie and Perchie Smith; and her sister, Lavanis Graley, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
