Obituary of Richard Alan Blohm
Richard Alan Blohm, known to many as Skip, passed away on April 16, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 52.
He was born on May 17, 1973, in Adrian, Michigan, and throughout his life he carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and love for his family. Skip was a man who could always be counted on, and those who knew him will remember his handy nature, his creativity, and the caring way he approached the people and things that mattered most to him.
Skip spent 24 years working as a truck driver, both over the road and locally, and he took great pride in the work he did. He also spent time working with sugar beets, further reflecting his strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever needed to be done. His career was built on dedication and perseverance, and he earned the respect of many through his steady presence and dependable character.
Outside of work, Skip found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved working on cars, building things, and playing video games. He especially treasured spending time with his children and his animals, and these moments brought him great happiness. He had a gift for making things better, whether with his hands, his ideas, or his presence, and he will be remembered as someone who was both practical and deeply loving.
Family was at the center of Skip’s life. He is survived by his father, Rickey Blohm of Indiana; his brother, Chris Blohm of Adrian, Michigan; his wife, Carrie Blohm of Saginaw, Michigan; and his children, Kyle Munson of Adrian, Michigan, Kyle Blohm of Breckenridge, Michigan, Cody Blohm of Saginaw, Michigan, Kaitlyn Blohm of Ithaca, Michigan, and Cassidy Blohm of Ithaca, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Abner. He also leaves behind many others who loved him and will carry his memory forward with affection and gratitude.

His family and friends will remember his strength, his creativity, and the warmth he brought into their lives.
