Obituary of Glen Stanley Ripley
Glen Stanley Ripley, age 70, of Mt Pleasant MI, formerly of Howell and Monroe MI, was discovered deceased in his home on April 27, 2026.
Glen was born on February 17, 1956, in Pontiac MI, to the late George Milton and Jeanne Wynifred (Grace) Ripley of White Lake MI.
Glen was a proud graduate of the Howell High School Highlanders, class of 1975. He went on to learn many other trades and jobs. He enjoyed serving his Howell Big Boy regulars at various times over 25 years, as well as achieving a Builders license, Mechanics license, and Realtors license. In his later years, he delivered newspapers and drove for Uber.
Glen was an avid bowler, and was on many leagues over the years. If he wasn’t bowling or working, his free time was often spent camping or floating on the Huron River with the Karns’ family. Glen greatly enjoyed any times spent with family and friends, such as golf outings, BBQ’s, large holiday gatherings, family meals, and even quick meet ups at a restaurant “to catch up”.
Glen is survived by his daughter, Danielle Ripley; his son, David Ripley; “unofficially adopted daughter”, Stephanie Chase; former wives (but still great friends), Julia Ripley (Rod Jones), and Doda Guyer.
Glen is the 6th child of 7 siblings, and is also survived by sisters, Carrie (Steve) Phillips, Linda Ripley (Steve Bergeron), Lora (Sam) Bacon; and brother, Martin Ripley; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie VanCleave; and brother, Gregory Ripley, who also passed away this week.
Plans for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
