Obituary of Jeffrey John Samalik
Jeffrey “Jeff” John Samalik, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on March 8, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan, to John and Janet Samalik. He grew up in Breckenridge, Michigan, and later moved to Gladwin, Michigan, where he raised his family. Jeff was a diesel mechanic by trade and later worked as a home remodeler alongside a close friend.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Above all, Jeff cherished time spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Samalik; his brother, Ken (Lisa) Samalik; his sons, Joe (Kara) Samalik and Frank (Devin) Samalik; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Ryan, Avalyn, Christian, Lilee, Jack, and Janet. He is also survived by his dear friends, the Sloas family.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Samalik, and his infant brother, Jerry.
