Michele Lynn (Buckley) Mikesell

Wheeler, MI 

Michele Lynn Mikesell, age 56, passed away peacefully at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw surrounded by family. 

Michele was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 19, 1969 to Jack and Donna (Coutchure) Buckley. She graduated from Northwoods University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in business. 

A respected Senior Administrative Specialist at Dow, she was admired by her co-workers for her kindness, dedication, and charisma. 

Michele married Scott Alan Mikesell, her loving husband of 1 1/2 years, on October 19, 2024. She enjoyed every aspect of life’s joys including boating, kayaking, fishing, snowmobiling, and trail riding. She loved baking and gardening and was quite crafty. She absolutely loved the beach and making memories with her family, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephew.  She went by the nickname of “Queenie”. 

Michele Lynn Mikesell is survived by her loving husband, Scott;  father, Jack Buckley of Saginaw, MI;  son, Leland (Staci) Gasta of Saginaw, MI;  sister, Jacqueline (Scott) Clark of Cass City, MI, Christina (Bruce) Buckley of Chesaning, MI;  grandchildren, Riley and Channing;  niece, Perri;  nephews, Sean, Mitchell, and Danny;  father and mother-in-law, Richard and Donna Mikesell of Ashley, MI:  brother-in-law, Rodney Mikeselll of Flint, MI; sister-in-law, Amber (Chris) Piper and her nieces, Jasmine, Emily, and Shelby of Pompeii, MI. Michele was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Lou Buckley. 

Cremation has taken place at Michele’s request, and private gatherings will be held for Michele’s and Scott's families to celebrate her life at a later date.  Her memories will live within and through us and she was loved by all. 

Michele, you are a forever blooming sunflower. Your spirited, loving personality shined brightly to all. You are a watch tower and a solace forever in our hearts.

From her husband Scott, I will always love you.  You were my best friend, my partner, and the love of my life.  We enjoyed a life together for 9 wonderful years.  You were loved and cherished by your entire family.
