Obituary of Audey Witt

The family of Audey Lloyd Witt, of Durand, is deeply saddened to announce his passing on May 12, 2026, at the young age of 72. Audey was born in Flint, on July 15, 1953, to Wayne and Donna (Shepard) Witt. He graduated from Ainsworth High in 1971. Shortly thereafter he began his apprenticeship with A/C Sparkplug and married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Janet McBride, in 1974. Audey had numerous passions that he dedicated countless hours to which included but not limited to racing motorcycles, camping, archery hunting, fishing, darts, golfing and cooking for his family. Audey eventually retired skilled trades from A/C Delphi and further dedicated his time to his hobbies, family, and friends.

Audey is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet; his three daughters, Kathy Petropoulos (Ted), Lori Rouse (Will) and Stacy Witt; his six grandchildren, Faith, Alex, Alyssa, Grace, Logan, and Alaina; and his sister, Christina Jaworowicz.

Audey will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, his willingness to always help his friends and family, his precognitive euchre skills, his five hole-in-ones, his favorite drink(s) and his uncanny ability to hurt himself all while never losing his goofy grin. 

There will be a Celebration of Audey's Life gathering for family and friends at later date.
