Ray Schell

May 11, 1938 – May 20, 2026

Ray Schell will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud veteran, great brother, loving uncle, and loyal friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew him.

Ray proudly served his country from 1957 to 1963, carrying with him a deep sense of honor, dedication, and patriotism throughout his life. Beyond his service, Ray’s greatest pride and joy was his family.

He was the loving husband of Sue Schell for 44 beautiful years, a marriage built on unwavering love, partnership, and countless cherished memories. Together they created a life centered around family, laughter, and unconditional support.

Ray was a beloved father to Christian Schell, Tom Kasten, and Pete Kasten. He led by example, teaching the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. His guidance, wisdom, and steady presence will remain in the hearts of his children forever.

He was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Tyler Kasten, Finn Kasten, and Ireland Kasten. Nothing brought Ray more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories they will carry with them always.

Ray was also a great brother and loving uncle who cherished his family deeply and was always there with support, encouragement, and love whenever it was needed.

Ray will be remembered for his warm heart, quiet strength, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he adored and the many lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place on June 13, 2026, at the Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street, Bridgeport, MI, 48722, from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm.
