Obituary of Chris Orean Contratto

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chris Orean Contratto, of St. Helen, Michigan, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Born on January 7, 1958,Chris lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and beautiful smile brought comfort and joy to those around her and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Chris's greatest joy in life was her family. She is lovingly survived by her husband, John; her sons, Jerron and Cody Contratto; and her beloved granddaughters, Hayden, Harper Orean, and Celine. She treasured every moment spent with them and took immense pride in watching her family grow.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hanson, and Corey Hanson, whom she held dearly in her heart throughout her life.

Chris will always be remembered for her smile that lit up the world, her selflessness, and the unconditional love and support she gave so freely to her family and friends. She had a rare gift for putting others before herself, offering a listening ear, a comforting word, and a helping hand whenever it was needed. Her love knew no bounds, and her presence made even the hardest days a little brighter.

Though her absence leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her, her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. The memories she created, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave so generously will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Chris will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
