Obituary of Bridget Marie Sanford

Bridget Sanford (Keenan), age 62, was born in Saginaw, Michigan. She spent her early childhood living on Wixom Lake before moving to Midland, where she lived most of her life. She dedicated many years serving children and their families through Head Start and Early Head Start until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Keenan, and her cherished dog, Roxy.

Bridget is lovingly remembered by her three beloved children and their spouses: Erin and Jacob Hoggard, Tyler Sanford and Angela Strobel, and Hayley and Tyler Sharp.

She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, who were her pride, joy, and delight: Braden, Harper, Reese, and Ellie Hoggard, Mia Neibert, and Alex Sharp. She also adored many cherished grand-fur babies who brought her so much happiness.

Bridget is also survived by her mother, Patricia Keenan; her siblings and their families, Terry and Amy Keenan, Sean and JoAnna Keenan, Matt Keenan, and Shannon and Dave Watson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Those who knew Bridget will remember her for her extraordinary kindness, patience and caring heart. She devoted much of her life to helping others, always finding ways to be there for people she loved and offering compassion in all circumstances. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she spent many years fighting to remain here on this earth with the people she loved most. Bridget was also a gifted and creative artist, often spending hours creating beautiful hand painted cards for family and friends simply because she wanted them to know she was thinking of them. She had a love for collecting rocks, and she found joy in cooking and baking for the people around her. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the countless ways she made the people in her life feel cared for.

At Bridget’s request, her family will celebrate her life privately.

“The Lord’s timing is perfect. Jesus said, ‘For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’ Matthew 11:30.
