Obituary of Sarah Ann Todd

Sarah Ann Todd, age 91, went home to be with her Savior on April 14, 2024. She was born on March 26, 1933 in Charleston, Tennessee to Hubert and Bertha Harris. Sarah and her family moved to Detroit where she met and married Franklin D. Todd on April 25, 1953, he predeceased her in 1985. They moved to Bay City in 1958 where they raised their five children. 

Sarah and Frank’s desire in life was to worship and honor the Lord, teaching and living out the ways of God for their children and others. Sarah was her church’s pianist for many years as she served the Lord alongside her husband. Her favorite pastime outside of her church life was spending time with family and friends. She was currently a member of Riverwalk Community Church. Sarah worked in grocery and retail sales for years eventually retiring from Meijer. 

Surviving are: son, Steve Todd, daughters, Denise (Richard) Taglauer and Julie (Marty) Getyina; daughters-in-law, Rose Todd and Cheryl Todd; grandchildren: Michael (Leah) Todd, Stephanie (Joe) Maier, Nicole (David) LeVasseur, Steven Todd, Danielle Bach, Rachel (Jason Benkert) Todd, Christopher Compau, Patrick (Brooke) Todd, Natalie (Corey) Oliver, Kerri Todd, Jennifer Todd, Bethany (Nic) Mayer, Dorrie Neveau, Clair (Chris) Washburn, James (Charly) Taglauer; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren with another due in September; a sister-in-law, Anita Harris; brother-in-law Roy Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., April 26, 2024, at Crossway Christian Church, 603 W. Pearl Street, Bay City, Michigan. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
