Obituary of Mary Jo Hosmer

Hosmer, Mary Jo Sterling,MI Mary Jo, age 69, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away July 6, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born August 15, 1951 in Standish, Michigan to the late Gerald and Marilyn (Matthews) Goodroe. She is survived by one son, Eric (Cheryl) Hosmer; four grandsons, Timothy (Laura Philipp) Hosmer, Keith (April) Hosmer, Joel Hosmer, and Trevor Hosmer; four great-grandchildren Huntler, Gunner, Layla, and Sadie; a great-grandchild on the way; two sisters, Sharon Reinhart and Gerrylynn Southworth; two brothers, Marty (Peggy) Goodroe and Michael (Lynn) Goodroe; a sister-in-law, Cathy Goodroe; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hosmer; her companion, John Woletz III; a brother, Kevin Goodroe; a brother-in-law, Gerry Southworth; nieces, Britney Goodroe and Melissa Ososki; nephews, Brad Reinhart and Terry Southworth; and a great-niece, Nicole Ososki. A special thanks to Compassus Hospice for making her last few days at home comfortable. A Memorial Luncheon will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Clayton Township Hall, 1057 Dobler Road, Sterling, Michigan.
