Obituary of Virginia Esther Hall
Virginia Esther Hall was born July 12, 1928 in Chelsea, Michigan and died July 10, 2021 at her home in Oscoda, Michigan.
Virginia was a true pioneer woman. She always had a large garden and canned the vegetables from that garden. She would also can the venison and salmon that Jim brought home. Virginia enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, and doing plastic canvas. She taught those skills to her daughters and many others. Virginia bowled on several leagues and on different teams for many years. Jim and Virginia spent many hours researching genealogy on both of their families. It was a labor of love they enjoyed. Virginia retired from the Oscoda Area School system.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Jacob of Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren, Adrienne Brammer of East Orange, New Jersey, Brian (Katheryn) Brammer of Anderson AFB, Guam, and Michelle Free of Rogersville, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Spencer Lafnear, and Samantha and Poppy Brammer; brother, Reuben Lesser of Chelsea, MI; and her friend, Albert Stockwell of Oscoda, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Lesser Sr. and Esther (Koengeter); her husband, James “Jim”; and her daughter, Elaine Free.
