Obituary of Donald Lincoln Comstock

On Friday, July 9, 2021, Donald Lincoln Comstock passed away at the age of 83 years, peacefully at his home in Bridgeport, Michigan. He was born to the late Kenneth & Ella Comstock on February 12, 1938, in Saginaw, Michigan where he was raised. He was attended the Bridgeport Community Church for many years. He graduated from Arthur Hill Trade High School in 1956 and went on to work at GM Central Foundry, where he was a Cast Design Engineer. He retired in 1992 to pursue his passion for golf & cruising on his pontoon boat with his many friends. In his youth he loved going to dances, competing in archery, & playing in the Saginaw City Fast Pitch Softball League with friends. His adult years were dedicated to raising his two children. He was a fun-loving father who enjoyed having his kids in many activities & sports. He was a firm, yet fair parent who kept a good balance in life. He was a mentor to his children & grandchildren throughout his life, and was always the teacher. He enjoyed stock car racing, traveling golf leagues, playing Euchre with his family, & ALWAYS the joke & storyteller! They were legendary & will be sorely missed. He was the best & you never knew what was coming next! He is survived by his son, Donald Kenneth Comstock; daughter, Stephanie (Mark) Walentovic; grandchildren, Casey Draper, Walter Draper, Chelsea (Brandan) Adams, Kayli (Dalton)Vollmer, Tyler (fiancé Acelin) Comstock, Tori Comstock, and Jillian Comstock; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Corban, & Ryleigh Adams, Owen & Evander Vollmer, & Evelyn Draper; sister, Sue Comstock; sister-in-law, Joan Comstock; nieces, Patricia Piwarski & Yvonne Comstock; and nephew, James Comstock. He was predeceased by his previous wife, Kathleen Premo; daughter-in-law, Amy Comstock; brother, Jack Comstock; & nephew, Thomas Comstock. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street, Bridgeport MI 48722, with a luncheon to follow. The family invites you to join them to celebrate Don's life with stories of laughter and love from 12pm - 4pm.
