Obituary of TereJo Wright-Pelkey

TereJo Wright-Pelkey, 62, finished her song on the evening of July 20, 2021. Tere was a loving daughter, mother, auntie, sister, friend, wife and the BEST Grandma. She was born December 23, 1958 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan to Kenneth and Helen Wright. Tere grew up the 3rd of 4 siblings in a time when the screen door was left unlocked with the big door open in the summer. She lived out her early 20’s in San Francisco before coming home and becoming a mother. Tere was married to James Pelkey. Tere had a love for animals, just like her dad, knitting, hanging out with her mom and talking to everyone in line at any store. She loved her "Jim" and most of all spending time with her mom, daughter and especially her granddaughter. Tere is survived by her granddaughter, Amari Michelle Roberson; her daughter, Alana Furlo (Terrance Roberson); mother, Helen Wrigh; brother, Kenneth Guy Wright; brother-in-law, Leon Turnwald; bonus daughter and friend, Courtney Turnwald; brother-in-law, Robin Williams; nieces, Lindsey Kay Turnwald, Kaylee Michelle Turnwald, RobAn (Justin) Engwis, Constance Wright, and Katherine Wright; nephews, Ian Turnwald, Bradley (Emily) Williams and Andrew Williams; great-nephew, Emmit Otter Engwis; and lastly, her cat, Shyanne. Funeral services will take place at 10 AM, Wednesday July 28, 2021 at St. John Vianney, 6400 McCarty Rd., Saginaw Michigan. The family will share memories with friends after the service at the Lawndale Estates Clubhouse, 4509 Longmeadow Blvd W., Saginaw Michigan.
