Obituary of Emma Acker

Emma Acker, age 88, of Saginaw, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 29, 2021 at Brian’s House in Essexville. She was born Emma Huri to the late Joseph and Julia Huri. Her favorite things were the outdoors and being with family whom she loved dearly. The love of her life Ron, predeceased her in 2003. She was very strong willed and always spoke of her days growing up on the farm. She loved telling stories of her life and experiences. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Paul) Hunter, Rodney (Jenni) Acker, David (Oralia) Acker; her bonus daughter/granddaughter, Alexis (Roland) Acker; grandchildren, Josh Acker, Zach Acker, Michell Brandt, Jennifer Hunter, Jack Hunter, Randy Hunter, Tina Torrez, Angie Torrez, Tino Torrez, Ashley Barrera, Justin Acker, and Jenna Acker; many great and great-great- grandchildren; and her good friend Julie Near. She was predeceased by her son Ron Acker, and all of her siblings. A Life Celebration will be held from 2pm to 5pm, Saturday, Aug 7, 2021 at the home of Rodney and Jenni Acker. In Lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Brian’s House in Essexville.
