Obituary of Maureen Anne Andrus

Andrus, Maureen Anne Saginaw, Michigan Maureen, age 67, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021. She was born March 23, 1954 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Raymond A. Novak and Delores L. Novak Hoeppner. She married James Andrus on October 10, 1975 in Saginaw Michigan, and he survives her. Maureen enjoyed reading at the beach, baking, cooking, sewing, and eventually developed those sewing skills into her reputation as a great quilter. Although she excelled in all of those areas, her greatest love was for her family, always putting them first, because they weren’t just part of her life, they were her life. She is survived by her husband James; children, Jamison Andrus and Joshua (Lauren) Andrus; granddaughters, Aliana and Bethany Andrus; siblings, Janene Mathieu, Lauren Smith, Christopher (Donna) Novak, and Jared (Julia) Hoeppner; sister-in-law, Debra Andrus; brothers-in-law, David (Kathy) Andrus and Dennis Andrus; an aunt and uncle; nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Lester and Joyce Andrus; and brother-in-law, Steve Andrus. A Mass Celebrating her Life will be held at 10:30, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street, Saginaw Michigan. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 9:30 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Brian’s House, 664 W. Nebobish Rd., Essexville, Michigan.
