Obituary of Anthony Kowalski, Jr.

Kowalski, Anthony SMSgt. Ret. Roscommon, Michigan Anthony passed away August 11, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 8, 1929 to the late Anthony and Mary (Skierski) Kowalski. Anthony retired from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country for 28 years. He was a member of the Polish Century Club, the VFW, K of C, AMVETS, and the Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Myree; 14 grandchildren, and 19 greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Delores Jewell; sons, Anthony Michael, Stephen Patrick, Robert Randall, and daughter, Sharon Gail McCarthy. A Life Celebration will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. Therese of Lisieux, 48115 Schoenherr Rd., Shelby Township, Michigan 48315. Msgr. John Kasza will be officiating. The family will receive friends at VFW Hall 4659 on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
