Richard passed away Tuesday August 17, 2021, at the age of 56 years surrounded by his family. Born October 31, 1964, to the late Walter and Thresa (Cabala) Jankowiak.
Richard worked at the Bangor Twp. boat launch for the past two years where he took care of the grounds, helped with the fishing tournaments, took care of the docks, and collected boater fees, He enjoyed meeting and talking to people that used the facilities.
He enjoyed spending time with his son Dylan whenever he could. Just ask him about Dylan and his eyes would light up. He also enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch with his sister Julie watching the deer and gazing at the night stars.
He is survived by his son, Dylan Jankowiak; girlfriend, Kenidee Schwab of Bay City; four sisters, Cathy (Delane) Hyde of Wyoming, Sue White, Julie Rusho, and Connie Morse all of Bay City; nieces, Carrie (John) Hartley, Mary Mock, and Courtney White; nephew, Tony Jankowiak; great-nieces, Tadessa Mock, Paige & Kenzie Jankowiak, and Samantha Hartley; great-nephews, Owen Jankowiak, Bob & Jeffery Mock, and John Hartley; and special friends, Mike Adams and Judy Ames. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Bill Rusho, Al Morse, and Randy White; nephew, Shawn White; and great-nieces, the Hartley twins.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Cemetery (west of the Mausoleum, Section LTFM2), 2000 Columbus Ave., Bay City MI. Interment will take place following the service. Family and friends are invited to the service. No luncheon is planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family for final expenses.
