Obituary of Anneve Marie Haskins
“We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, concerning those who are asleep,
so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.” -- 1 Thessalonians 4:13, CSB
Anneve Haskins, born August 1, 1944 left this world on September 4, 2021 at the age of 77.
She left us from the home in Midland, Michigan, she shared with her husband Raymond
Haskins, surrounded by family in her last moments.
She leaves behind her husband Raymond Haskins; daughters, Donna (Larry) Longsdorf, Virginia
(John) Taylor; sons, Ed (Tammy) Haskins and Paul Haskins (Tina Lyvere); 11 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Penny Hinkle. Anneve was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara Curley & Dixie Meadows; and great-grandchildren, Lazarus LaFeve and Miriam Govan.
Anneve was a woman of deep faith, who experienced many trials in her life including death, her
final trial. Her faith was imperfect, but her trust in Jesus Christ, “the author and perfecter of our
faith” (Hebrews 12:2) allows her family to grieve with hope, knowing Anneve passed into a
grand celebration in eternity where for the first time she walks in the perfections created for her
through Jesus Christ.
Anneve was fiery, but her passion also carried the fruit of deep love. She carried deep wounds
from traumatic life events, but through those wounds, she was capable of amazing displays of
compassion. She could be both frustrating and funny but the strength of her faith and love was
never doubted by her family. Anneve’s victory is now complete and for that her family celebrates
even while we grieve her loss.
Her family and friends will celebrate Anneve’s life on October 16, 2021 at Christian Celebration
