Obituary of Richard Lee King
Richard L. King of Gladwin, Michigan passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 75 from pancreatic cancer. Richard is survived by a daughter Kimberly Boehm; a son, Mark King, their spouses, Art Boehm and Mikki King; grandchildren, Justin Boehm, Cate Mbi, Tory King and Rachel Boehm; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Landon; as well as his sister Betty Smith. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine L. King.
Richard spent the first 30 years of his adult life living in Taylor MI. He was a heating/cooling specialist with Great Lakes Steel. While in Taylor he was an active member of the Taylor Jaycees and taught Hunter Safety. Upon retiring at age of 48, Richard moved to Gladwin, Michigan where he envisioned and built “The Farm”. Richard continued teaching Hunter Safety and was an active member of Quality Deer Management as well as numerous other wildlife management organizations. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with his family and friends.
