Obituary of Dale Andrew Wilson

Dale Andrew Wilson of Vassar, MI passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 77 years old. Dale was born on February 27, 1944 to the late George C. Wilson and Christina (Metro) Wilson of Millington, MI. Dale was a U.S. Veteran who served his country during Vietnam. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who leaves a long legacy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing his entire life. He passed on his knowledge of hunting and fishing to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling to Canada, Montana, Florida, Texas, and Germany. He fished and hunted in all of these places. He always fished in the fall at the Two Hearted River in the U.P. of Michigan. His favorite movie was Jeremiah Johnson and all of his family knows the movie by heart. He will be forever missed, but his legacy of love and knowledge will live on through the generations. Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Barbara Gouine, Christiana (Christopher) Rogers, Mike Dale (Lonna) Wilson, and Brian Wilson; ten grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Bradley Wilson, Nikki Wilson, Brianna Ratza, Justin Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Aleea Wilson, Andrew and Aurianna Rogers; nine great grandchildren, Gavin Kern, Emmitt Wilson, Xzavier Jones, Kurt Wilson, Violet Salisbury, Ariel Kern, Graci Wilson, Kinzley Wilson, and Tripp Wilson; two brothers, Lavern (Martha) Wilson and George D. Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years Margareta (Fischer) Wilson; infant daughter, Shawn Marie Wilson; his second wife, Janice (Taylor) Wilson; brother, Leroy Wilson; nephew, Jon Wilson; great-nephew, Mathew Todd; son-in-law, William Gouine; and his very special friend, Daniel (Duff) Diener. The family will receive family and friends at a Celebration of Life at a later date.
