Obituary of Louis Dale Knisely
Knisely, Louis “Dale”, age 92, of Bancroft, MI, formerly of Fayette, Ohio, passed away October 11, 2021 while in Hospice Care. Dale was born January 22, 1929 to the late Charles H. and Myrtle J. Knisely in Monroe, MI.
Dale was a U.S. Army paratrooper during the Korean War. He graduated from Fayette High School in Ohio. As a child Dale worked on the family farm in Munson, MI. He was employed at Morenci Rubber Products and owned the Gambles Hardware in Brighton, MI. He was a handyman and used his skills to help others. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. His loving smile will be greatly missed by all. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and is now with Him forever.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Mack; daughters, Camilla (Robert) Stevens, Kimberly Knisely (Jerry Williams), Lorraine Killen and Yvonne Geeting; step-sons, Charles (Chrissie) Mack, David (Judy) Mack, Ronald (Carolyn) Mack, and Michael (Janice) Mack; a sister, Eva B. (Tom) Clendenen; a brother, Duane A. (Onalee) Knisely; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Dean, Darrel and Lynn Knisely; and 1 step-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon, November 13, 2021 at the Durand VFW Post, 923 N. Saginaw Street, Durand, MI 48429. The family will receive friends at the VFW post prior to the service from 11 AM o 12 Noon. A private burial service will be held at 11 AM, October 30, 2021, at the West Franklin Cemetery, West Unity, Ohio.
