Obituary of Carmen Florencce Torres

Carmen Florence Torres, of Zilwaukee, Michigan, passed away October 31, 2021. Carmen was born in Elkton, Michigan on November 7, 1941 to the late Joseph and Josephine Torres. She owned and operated "Your Beauty Salon" in Zilwaukee for over 50 years with her life and business partner, Karen Sauve, who passed away in 2015. Carmen was very active in her community and with her family. She enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing, styling hair, and many other hobbies. She was a very social and giving person, and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She is survived by five siblings, Henry (Diane) Torres, Josephine (James) Palmer, Mary (Norman) Sorenson, Theresa (Robert) Stommel, and Rosie (Wayne) Hall; sister-in-law, Arlene Torres; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Karen's son, Matthew (Trudi) Sauve, and their children. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Joseph Torres Jr. and Anthony Torres. Carmen’s laughter, love and kindness will be greatly missed by all. No memorial service is planned at this time.
