Obituary of Janet Marie Faltyn
Faltyn, Janet “Jan” Marie
Saginaw, MI
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 71. Jan was born on October 28, 1950, to the late Robert and Marian (Schiefer) Faltyn, in Saginaw. She graduated from SS Peter & Paul High School and many years later fulfilled a life goal, earning her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from SVSU in 2010. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, reading, and needlework of various forms. Jan will be remembered for her independence and black and white perspective on life... if you asked a question or opinion one must be prepared for the truth. The pride and love Jan had for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, to the moon and back!
Surviving are one son, three daughters, and their spouses, Matthew (Lisa) Hebl of Arizona, Heidi Hebl, Sarah (James) Branch and Gretchen Hebl; her grandchildren, Mark, Briana, Megan, Daymeon, James II, Dakota, and Izabella; three great-grandchildren, Lavontae, Rylin and Ayla; two brothers, Kenneth and Tony (Linda) Faltyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sibling, a sister, Roberta Maczik. We would like to give a special thanks to cousin Sandra Slade; nieces, Marcie Kolhagen and Sherry Helpap; and friends, Carol, Chris H., Pam, Anna, Carla and Chris B. We would also like to thank Stefanie RN with Compassus Hospice for her outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial contribution to one of the charities she supported: Leader Dogs for the Blind, Native American College Fund, Doctors Across Border, or The Salvation Army. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the near future per her request. Details to follow. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
