Obituary of James McMinn

James McMinn, age 87, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday November 27, 2021. He was born in Detroit on October 14, 1934, to William and Mary McMinn. A U.S. Army Veteran, he graduated from the University of Detroit and had a successful forty-four-year career with General Motors. A self-described bibliophile, he had a passion for history, sharing the knowledge with friends and family. His grandkids always knew who to call for school projects on these topics. Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carole Ann McMinn of Mayville, MI; his brother, William (Norma) McMinn; children, Brent Alan Buzzalini, Gary Lee (Cheryl) Buzzalini, Maureen (John) Tournell, and James McMinn; grandchildren, Addam Buzzalini, Carley (Keith) Dunham, Alex (Biba) Buzzalini, Victoria Buzzalini, Christopher (Rebekah) Pelton, April Gechoff, and Ethan Gechoff; great-grandchildren, Sheauna Dunham, Elli Dunham, Kyra Dunham, K.L. Dunham, and Owen Pelton. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary McMinn; and his first wife, Geraldine (Borawski) McMinn.
