Obituary of Edward Thomas Welch

Welch, Edward T. Gladwin, Michigan Edward passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born on January 12, 1933 to the late Francis and Ellen Welch in Mayville, Michigan. He was a member of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many trips with family and friends. He remained curious about life and had an avid thirst for knowledge. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheren A. (Plante) Welch; his children, Jennifer (Welch) Al-Hameli, Karen (Welch) Malenfant, Thomas Welch, Bridget Welch-Strauch, and Christopher Welch. He was dearly loved by his 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Francis Joseph Welch A Service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM, December 28, 2021 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
