Raymond Joseph Kirby, age 50 went home to be with the Lord December 29, 2021. He was born April 21, 1971 to Raymond George Kirby and Barbara Ann (Kasper) Queen in Saginaw, MI.
Raymond had a career in the Culinary Arts and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. Raymond prepared daily meals for his father and family. Raymond was also a caregiver to his father who was ill.
Raymond loved dogs and donated his time training them to become service workers to those with medical challenges. He also worked at an animal shelter providing care to abandoned and neglected dogs.
Raymond loved football! His favorited team was Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching the game and discussing it with his brother and friends.
Raymond spent daily devotional time reading the Bible and watching Christian programs. He gave his life to Christ as a young boy, however, his relationship matured the last 5 years of his life. We will sincerely miss him and his warm smile.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara (Kasper) Queen; stepfather, Bryan Queen; son, Raymond Tooley; brother, Lawrence Kirby; sister, Geralyn (Sean) Turner; girlfriend, Lori Blasdell; many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, & friends. He was predeceased by his father Raymond George Kirby, grandparents Lawrence & Jeanette Kasper, grandparents Elmer and Mary Kirby.
A Celebration of Life, will be held at 4 pm, January 5, 2022 at Old Town Christian Outreach Church, 600 Gratiot Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 2pm-4pm, with a luncheon to follow the service.
