Rodger Cederberg

Obituary of Rodger Lee Cederberg

Cederberg, Rodger L. Mr. Rodger L. Cederberg, age 78, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend went to his eternal home with our Heavenly Father on January 1, 2022, from his earthly home in Vassar, MI. Rodger was born on June 18, 1943, in Bay City, MI, to the late Ernest and Eleanor Cederberg. On September 26, 2020, he married Sandi Blossom. While their time together was brief, they created many loving memories, spent precious time with family and friends, and traveled. They developed sweet harmony between them and their families that will be forever cherished. He was co-owner of Deer Acres in Pinconning, MI, with his late wife, Sharyl Cederberg, before retiring in 2009. Rodger delighted in the smiles and joy a fun day at Deer Acres could bring to children and their families. Away from work, he cherished the relationships he built at the bowling alley, on the golf course, or cruising in his yellow Corvette - always looking for adventure. Rodger was also very competitive in everything he did, which led to being inducted into the Bay City Bowling Hall of Fame. Many in the community know him for his generosity and kindness. He loved the Lord so very much and now will spend eternity with Him. He will be remembered for his chocolate milkshakes and his strong faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We love him greatly and will miss him terribly! Left behind to smile at the memories is his wife, Sandi Cederberg; children, Ashli and son-in-law Chris Crawford, Stacey and son-in-law Guy Metzger, and Willym Cederberg and daughter-in-law Beth. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Grace and Ceder Crawford, Mitchel, Morgen, and Marisa Metzger, and Landen and Cameron Cederberg. He also has a sister, Sharon Schisler and husband Charles; sister, Wendy Gervais and husband John; brother, Todd Cederberg and wife Darla; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Stepson Michael Blossom and wife Sarah, stepdaughter Laura Harte and husband Ashley, and stepdaughter Arin Shupe and husband Paul. Step-grandkids include Malia, Calli, Caden, and Evan Blossom, Brett and Ashlynn Harte, and Selah, Layla, and Luella Shupe. Rodger was preceded in death by his previous wife Sharyl Cederberg, whom he was married to for 47 years, and brother Gordon Cederberg.
