Obituary of Barbara Lynn Kovacs

Kovacs, Barbara L. Clio, Michigan Barbara, a loving, kind, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 60. She was born on April 16, 1961 to Barbara Nellis and to the late Clyde Nellis, in Sarasota, FL. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved spending time with her family. She loved swimming, dolphins, going to garage sales, and had a life long obsession with shoes and purses. She was a bargain shopper and if it wasn’t on sale and didn’t have a coupon, she wasn’t buying it. She has touched the lives of so many people. She had a smile that could light up a room and an absolutely contagious laugh. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Kevin Kovacs; 2 daughters, Sara (Andrew) Brooks and Nichole Wickson; 2 grandsons, Colt and Cannon Wickson; granddaughter, Alaina Brooks; sister, Cindy Oliver; 2 brothers, Thomas (Debbie) Nellis and Clyde (Jackie) Nellis; mother-in-law, Jo Hintze; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other loved ones. She was predeceased by her sister in-law, Tina Nellis; and father-in-law, Harvey Hintze. A private memorial service for her family will be held at a later date.
