Obituary of Mary Kay Wilinski

Mary K. Wilinski passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 at the age of 86. She was born on September 2, 1935 to the late Jerome and Gladys Jaynes. She was preceded in death by her husband James N. Wilinski, whom she married on August 9, 1958 at Saint James Church. They shared a beautiful 63 years of marriage and were blessed with three children; son, James M. Wilinksi; daughter, Pamela (Ivan) Miller, and daughter Ann (Jeff) Heppner. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, Courtney Miller, Ivan Miller, Nathan Bennett, Caleb and Gideon Heppner, Andrew (Justis) Heppner, Matthew Heppner, and Brianne (Derek) Tober; 4 great-grandchildren, Emerson, Charlotte, Ava, and Baby to be Tober. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen (Don) Pike, Vivian (Bob) Carrington; and brothers, Jerome (Jeanette) Jaynes and William (Margie) Jaynes. Mary graduated from Saint James High School. Her first job was at the City Dairy and after graduation she worked as a cashier at Knepps, then Goddeynes Hardware. She later worked at the Shoemarket in Downtown Bay City while raising her kids. She enjoyed her casino trips to Las Vegas or anywhere in Michigan with her husband Jim, but what they loved more than anything was their family time. Mary was a kind, generous, and forgiving woman. Her sweet smile, giggle and warm presence will stay with us forever. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. A special thanks to Close To Home Assisted Living who made it possible for Mary to be with her family during her brief illness.
