Obituary of Andrew James Elder

Andrew J. Elder "Kabukie" passed away peacefully at McLaren Bay Region, January 30, 2022 at the age of 57, following a long battle with heart disease. He was born in Bay City on July 12, 1964 to the late William A. and Joann L. (Kendall) Elder. Andrew loved working on houses, traveling, and watching Detroit Tigers games, but above all, he loved was spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. Andrew is survived by Helen P. Elder, his loving wife of 10 years; four daughters, Lisa (Chris) Elder, Kristina (Daniel) Austin, Gabrielle (Joshua) Elder, Abigail Elder, and Deanna Elder, their mother; four grandchildren, Savanna, Isabella, Elaina, and Lewis; four step-children, Joy, Jason, Ramido, and Savannah; two brothers, Jason (Mary) Elder, and Scott (Pam) Elder; several nephews and nieces; a sister-in-law, Marie Elder; and a brother-in-law, Mark Lacross. He was predeceased by his brother, Curtis Elder; and two sisters, Garnetta Elder and Ruth Lacross. Andrew wished to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, First Congregational Church, 900 Sixth St., Bay city MI, with Rev.
