Obituary of Colin Troy Herbert
Colin T. Herbert, age 31, of Bridgeport, Michigan, died Thursday, March 3, 2022 from complications of liver disease. He was surrounded by his loving family when he peacefully passed away.
Colin was born in Novato, California, on November 6, 1990. With his father in the U.S. Navy, Colin’s childhood was spent in various locations, including San Diego, Calif., Jacksonville, Fla., Chesapeake, Va., and Panama City Beach, Fla., before settling in Bridgeport in 2019.
Colin was a passionate film buff, particularly appreciating Jaws, The Thing, Star Wars and many horror movies. Colin was an avid player of video games, reader of science fiction, and friend to all animals. He loved amusement parks, Chinese food, sour candy, and spending time with family. Colin had a chauffeur’s license and worked as a food-delivery driver.
Greeting Colin in the afterlife were his mother, Elizabeth Herbert; and his grandparents, Doyle and Marilyn McKimmy, Donnie Williams, and Howard Herbert.
Missing Colin’s laugh and company are his beloved brothers, Jacob Herbert of Bridgeport and Benjamin Herbert of Bay City; his father, U.S. Navy Master Chief Michael Herbert (retired) and step-mother Crystal McMorris Herbert of West Branch and Bay City; his Aunt Rachel and Uncle Brady Fawcett of Bridgeport; his Aunt Becca and Uncle Greg Gifford of Lewiston; his Uncle Brian and Aunt DeeDee of LaPine, Oregon; and many cousins and friends.
The family will welcome those who loved Colin to a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 12, from 2-4 p.m. at the lake house on Fawn Lake.
