Obituary of Dennis Lee Parks

Dennis “Denny” Lee Parks of Owosso Michigan, passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 76 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. He was born in Jackson Michigan on November 15,1945 to the late Lucille Genevieve (Parks) Wheeler. Denny was a hard-working man that worked at Motor Wheel in Lansing for several years. He married Sheila, the love of his life in 1987. They spent 24 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death in 2011. Denny was a kind compassionate man. He was an avid car buff and he loved working with his hands. Denny was known for his love of restoring old cars and making them look beautiful and brand new again. His ideal place to spend his time was in his garage working on rebuilding and restoring his old cars, he also loved building race cars and racing at the track in Stanton Michigan. He would attend many of the car shows in Michigan with his wife Sheila. He was an avid Michigan State fan. He loved spending time with family and vacationing when time allowed. In his quiet time he would love to read a book or just sit and enjoy and watch nature around him. Denny is survived by his children, Joe (Suzette) Parks, Tina McCann (Greg Maike), Kim (Jeff) Ridsdale, Larry (Amy) Toth, Terri (Adib) Elhaddaoui and loving daughter-in-law, Rene Toth. He is also survived by siblings, Ann (David) Barnett, Jerry Wheeler, Kitty (Marty) Barnes, and Helena (Mark) Bissinger; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Denny has lost several loved ones in his life. In addition to his mother and his wife, he has lost a good friend and the mother of five of his children Gloria Parks, Dennis Lee Parks Jr., Robert “Bobby” Louis Parks, Carl Wheeler, infant son Carl, and Jerry Toth; and nephew, Nathan. We would like thank Memorial Hospice and give a special thank you to his nurse Cathy. A Memorial Service will be held on April 23, 2022 from 12pm to 3pm at The American Legion Hall,1240 W.
