Obituary of Charles Edward Walker

Walker, Charles E. "Charlie" of Beaverton, MI born October 12, 1940 to the late Edward and Helen (Amthor) Walker in Grand Rapids, MI passed away unexpectedly at his home in Beaverton on March 22, 2022 at the age of 81. Charlie served his country Honorably as an Aircraft Maintenance Crewman in the U.S. Army. He then embarked on a 35 year career with General Motors in Flint as a Skilled Trade Pipefitter until his retirement from Plant 10. He was a proud member of the Harley-Davidson HOG Club for 39 years. He enjoyed keeping his Harley, cars, home and yard in pristine condition, always busy tinkering with something. He also looked forward to weekly Friday night dinners with his friends. He is survived by 3 Sons; Scott R. Walker, Brian E. Walker, Michael C. Walker (Cheryl), 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, Sister Elaine Dunk, 2 Nieces and 4 Great Nieces and Nephews. Interment will take place with Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery Holly, MI at a later date with family and close friends.
