Obituary of James Vernon Kerridge
James V. Kerridge, age 73, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan. Jim was born on April 14, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Vernon and Vontella Kerridge. Jim served with the U.S. Army from 1966-1969, and served two tours in Vietnam. Jim was a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He worked for CXS Railroad for over 35 years as a conductor, and was a ranger for the Sawmill Golf Course through 2021. Jim loved golfing daily and enjoyed watching sports, especially U of M.
Surviving are two daughters, Mellisa Beyer (Rick) and Lindsay O'leary (Mike); one sister, Mary Lou McRae; 5 grandchildren, Dawson Beyer, Bella Beyer, Berlin Beyer, Kellan O'Leary and Allie O'Leary; and ex-wife, Debra Kerridge who helped with his care over the past year and a half. The family would like to acknowledge Jim's special friendships over the years, Bill Braman, John Detloff (deceased) Dan Thomas, Robert Dunn, Dan Rutkowski, Jimmy Strach, Adam Fairchild, Jerry Blake, Mac Thompson, Jan Ehlert, and all of the other golfing friends that he enjoyed spending time with.
