As he lost mobility and independence, he handled it with grace and humor, and never let on to anyone how difficult it was for him. As his mobility diminished, he constantly shifted his hobbies and focus to what he could do. He never dwelled on what he had lost. Through woodworking and beadworking, he loved to make gifts for his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his warm and accepting nature and he considered everyone to be his friend.
