Obituary of Janet Lee Banny

Janet Lee Banny (Jan), 68 of West Branch MI. passed away on April 21, 2022 at the MyMichigan Hospital in Midland MI surrounded by family, and friends. Jan was born November 17, 1953 in Mt. Clemens Michigan to the late Chester Edward and Barbara Jane Baker. She was the eldest of seven children. She enjoyed participating in gymnastics and graduated from Utica High school Jan married the love of her life, Joseph Anderson Banny, on September 2, 1978 at a Presbyterian church in Utica Michigan. They had three children together who learned from her to live with love integrity and responsibility. Jan was a natural caretaker. She touched so many lives, especially through her work as a daycare provider, adult foster care worker, and foster mother to many children. Her favorite flower was the yellow rose. She loved knitting and doing crafts. She was so creative often making homemade gifts for everyone. She loved birds, her favorite being the yellow canary, and she loved listening to their morning songs. Jan is survived by her husband Joe, their three children: Jennifer (Marc) Stone, Julie (Dennis) Keller, and Jason (Amy) Banny, her siblings: Gary (Mary) Baker, Jill (Art) Kleve, Dawn (Wayne) Dail, Penny (Dave) Steele, Steve (Shellie) Baker, and Joy (Mark) Bullock. Her grandchildren: Gavin, Khatorrie, Trevor, Austin, and Skyler and great grandchildren: Chase, Lucas, and Baby Reimer due 7-19-22. As well as lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
