Doug was my friend and boss at Blue Cross from 1983-1994. He was a giant of a man in his heart and vision for our investigative team. No one was more ethical, diligent, or hard working than Doug. He provided a working model of health care cost containment that saved the company and subscribers millions of dollars. Doug worked tirelessly to protect and serve. Doug handled and directed multiple high level investigations flawlessly. Doug was compassionate in his leadership and actions, I'm so sad to hear this news. May God bring peace and comfort to Mike, Pat, Geoff and their families as they grieve.
